Kumusta kamo!?
well this week...was a good week. yes, there is still disappointments! pastilan! so Sister Gura, the one that was suppose to be baptized last saturday, we had to extend her baptism because she still has a word of wisdom problem. so we have to wait until she keeps it. so hopefully this week. she really is a good investigator tho, and has a strong testimony. so hopefully this week will be the week! im so excited! this last week was a good week tho. i got to baptise this little girl who just turned 8..and listen to this..her goal is to go on a mission to america, so she can learn english, and then she wants to marry an american...so i wonder why she picked me to baptize her.....haha but it was a neat experience. so we went to their house, and thats when we changed into our white clothes. so i changed, and came out of the C.R. (bathroom), and she said.."Youre getting baptized too??"haha i thought that was funny, i was like no, i am baptizing YOU! haha so you know how everyone stares at me..just think how much they stare at me when dressed all in white! haha but it was ok, so we walked to the ocean cuz that is where the baptism was. and we took pictures..then it was time for the baptism. so we started walking into the ocean and she like just dives in to the water!! she was like swimming while i walked, but i held her hand and practically dragged her thru the water. haha she was out of control! she was really hipper! and then we finally got to a spot that was deep enough (it was durring low tide), the water was like up to the middle of my thigh and up to her chest..haha im so tall here! so i baptized her, and after, she started to swim back..haha so it wasn't as spiritual as it should've been, but i did my best to calm her down and to help her realize what is happening. and we'll confirm her next week. after the baptism, we ate and then a huge rain storm rolled in and rained for hours!  so finally some rain! the weather has been alot better this week! a lot cooler, but it is always hot, and i am always sweating! ah! but its ok.
so this week, i bought a new back pack cuz the side bag was really annoying...but there is a rumor that back packs might be bawal (against the rules). idk why, but i'll use it until i know for sure that i cant. haha
but last night, was a neat experience, we have this investigator, sister marife amahan (amahan means father in cebuano..sister father..haha) and she has such a strong desire to change her life to follow the gospel of Jesus Christ. and we taught the law of chastity with a member that helped us. and during the lesson, we decerned that she had a problem with the law of chastity in the past. and so later that night around 930 she called us, and told us her feelings and she just felt really bad and guilty for what she has done in the past, and we talked with her about the atonement and how that it can take away all her guilts and sins and everything. and so we actually left our apartment to give her some readings on the atonement. and i gave her the general conference talk, the healing power of the atonement by elder c scott grow, which is one of my favorite talks on the atonement. and when we got to her house, i went to shake her hand, and she just grabbed it and just held it for a little while and with tears in her eyes she said "'thank you thank you SO much..." ah it was so awesome just to see her desire to change her life so that it can be in harmony with the gospel of Jesus Christ. and i gained a stronger testimony of the atonement. and i know that anything wrong or not fair in this life can be made right thru the atonement of Jesus Christ. and i am so grateful that i have the chance to help others come unto christ and come to the knowledge of the gospel. and its so awesome to see peoples lives change as the choose to follow the savior. sister Amahan, every time we teach her, she gains more light in her eyes. she is gaining the light of christ in her eyes and every time we teach her she gets more. she is scheduled to be baptized in two weeks, her baptismal interview is this week and baptism next week. we have one more teaching to teach her. but i am loving this work! and i know that im touching those people who i was called to touch and i know that there are a lot more that i am suppose to touch. and i know that this is all part of gods plan. i have seen him work miracles thru us. and i know that as we are doing whats right, he'll put his children in our path so that they can come unto christ. so this has been a great week. and i really am enjoying it! i am experiencing the great joy that the gospel brings!
so i know this gospel is true and that we have the true, restored gospel of jesus christ today! and we are so lucky that we live in the time that we do!
i miss you all! and hope you all have a great week, and hope youre doing things to strengthen your testimony. cuz we need a strong testimony with the world that we live in today!
have a great day!
i love you!

maupay ng aga family!!
sorry, this will be a little shorter than most..not a lot of time..well this week has been awesome, and VERY HOT!!!! there hasn't been a drop of rain, and there is no clouds! ahh! they said this is like the weather they have in the summer which is during april and may. and so it should start to cool down soon...i hope! but this week, we had our first baptismal interview. Sister Gura has qualified for baptism, and she is getting baptized this week. im so excited! so when we were teaching her, we asked her who she would prefer to baptize her...either her bro.in law, or me, or elder allanic, and she looked at us and said "Elder Nelson" :) so this week will be my first baptism. and when she said that, i felt so happy and felt that i actaully am doing a difference here in abuyog, and that my work is starting to pay off. even tho im not fluent in the language, we're having success. and made me feel like i am needed here, and that i can do this work. cuz for a while, i felt like elder allanic was doing all the work, but now its about even and im doing my part. and i am really starting to feel the joy of missionary work! and i love it!~!! and so excited that she wants to be baptized! she has such a strong testimony!
and this week we have another baptismal interview for another investigator, who is so ready for baptism! and she should be baptized next week, sept 10. i am so excited! we need some male investigators tho, their all girls! ahaha
also this week, yesterday at church our attendance went up from an average of 65 to 88. and lots of investigators came. so that was awesome! and then we had gospel essentials withe our investigators, and they all shared their testimonies and expressed their desire to be baptized. it made me so happy! they are really good investigators. then after that, elder allanic and i got called into the BP office and bro sombilon has a daughter that is being baptized on friday (he's the one that said i'll have a beautiful generation if i marry a filipina haha) and the problem was, he wasn't a full tithe payer, and couldn't baptize his daughter. so he was wondering who would. so we had his daughter come in and asked her "who do you want to baptize you" and she said "daddy".... we all looked at each other, and then we said "well what if daddy can't, who else would you want"? she had to choose between us elders, the BP, or her uncle. and she said "elders" ...we said which elder? she said Elder Nelson. so i will be baptizing her this friday! she is a cute little girl..with a lot of energy..reminds me of...who is the loud one in the family now??haha but i also felt really bad for brother sombilon cuz he cant baptize his daughter. and i wish that he could. and its just so important that we, who hold the priesthood, remain worthy at ALL times! and im so glad for this opportunity to exercise the priesthood. here on the mission, we give tons and tons of blessings, and its so awesome to be able to use the priesthood and help change peoples lives.
One thing that i have really started to gain a stronger testimony for and a stronger appreciation for is the the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. we are really really lucky to be a member of this church and to live during a time that the fulness of the gospel has been restored. i am so grateful that we have a living prophet! and that we have apostles, and priesthood, and we're able to receive revelation from our heavenly father! and for me, i get to watch peoples lives change as they accept the gospel of jesus christ. its just so obvious to me that this is the One, and Only true church on the Earth! i know, with out a doubt, that this is the True church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints! we have to fulness of the gospel, and we need to share it with everyone! its such a special message! i encourage you all to share the gospel with everyone..friends, neighbors,..everyone. this is the time to prepare the world for the coming of our savior, Jesus Christ. i know Jesus Christ lives, and he is our savior and redeemer. i love this gospel! and i love this work!
thanks for all you do! and all your prayers!  i love you all, and miss you all!
Love, elder Nelson
