Maupay nga Aga ha iyo ngatanan!!!!!
so this week was awesome! and i don't have much time but i'll try. so we hit like ALL of our goals, and actually passed them by alot, and we didn't even have a lot time to work in our area. so we had splits with the zone leaders in their area on wednesday, and then on saturday, we had a zone CSP (comunity service project). and i'll just tell you what we did, there is this river that use to be creek but becuase of all the rain, it had gotten super big and was eroding part of the river bank and the peoples houses were about to fall in. so what we did is our whole zone dug like a cannal/river thing. and tried to change the direction of the river. and man, it was hard work. most of the filippinos sat around and watched while the americans worked.haha so we dug, and filled sand bags with and then made a dam with them and man, they were heavy! and we did that for the whole morning and man i was so sore, and still am! but it was awesome to serve them. i got pretty tan too! :) haha
then, so this week, we have been super super blessed with our appointments!! so most of our investigators came to church yesterday. all of them except for ...2 or 3. and one of them was Jhonald, who was one of those 5 new investigators that we got a few weeks ago. and he came to church for the first time. he is 17 years old, and has no mom or dad. and he came to church and all the young men were so kind and welcoming, they just took him and they all sat with them during sacrament meeting! it was just awesome to see them fellow ship him. and then after church he texted us and said "thank you so much" and said that he felt really welcome, and felt god's love and the members were so loving. and said that he is ready and wants to be baptized!!! and idk about you but for me as a missionary, those are the best type of texts you can get!! so he is scheduled for march 17. which is one day AFTER transfer day!!! and most likely i'll be transfering cuz i've been here super long! haha but i could stay here..i would love to! cuz most of our baptism are schedule after march 17.
and it seems like every day, members are telling us of their friends who want to become members!! and like we taught these two ladies yesterday and they said that they are "really interested" and want to be taught! and they wouldn't take their eyes off us while we were teaching! they were listening so well! and they want to be baptized as well! they said that they want a "New life", and so they didn't hesitate when we asked them to follow Christ's example and be baptized! and man, it was just an awesome feeling! every day is just awesome here! i love it! even tho its getting hot again, and im sore, and we face lots of afflictions, the joy and the spirit that we feel makes it all worth it!
so i am loving it here! and i don't look at my mission as a sacrafice, but as a blessing! i and my companion are being so blessed!! and i don't really know why, but hey, im not complaining. haha. i know that his gospel blessing families and individuals! time is just flying by!
i love you all!
Love Elder Nelson
