hey! good morning!
so this week was awesome and i have some sweet pictures for you! but we'll see if they will load. i will just tell you about them tho. so the Rapajon family just caught a philippine python! snake!! and its so cool! even tho i was really scared, i held it. and now, for some reason, i love holding snakes now!haha so i got to hold it and it was well over 5 feet long. and it started to constrict my hand, it was pretty strong, but just really cool to experience! so i'll try and send some pictures.
so every week here is awesome, but lets see what happened this week. so on tuesday, we had zone interviews. and that went good, still no letters or packages. haha then wednesday, we had splits with the zone leaders in San Juanico. which is where the longest bridge in asia is. but i didn't get to see it..not yet. but that day was so spiritual. and even tho alot of our appointments fell thru, we found less active members to teach. and we taught this one less active about the book of mormon. and her family has gone apostized, and so we testified of the book of mormon and why its so important. cuz she and lots of people just like her, have a trouble excepting anything more than the bible. and i felt like the spirit was saying everything. words were just coming out of our mouths that we weren't even planning on saying. it was just a neat experience. and like for some reason the spirit told us to read the testimony of the 3 witnesses. and so she read it. and after she read the spirit told me to ask "where in your reading did you feel the spirit or where in your reading did something jump out" (its easier to say in waraywaray, but i said something like that) and i have never asked something like that before, and becuase of that, it got more spiritual, and we were able to help her recognize the spirit. i am so grateful for the book of mormon! i just know it is the word of god!
also, i had surgery on my toe again...except this time it wasn't a doctor or at a hospital! it was in elder cox's apartment and he operated on me. so i got another ingrown, and i did NOT want to go back to that doctor and get those shots! so elder cox tried to get it out with scissors!!! AGI!!!!it was painful!!! but we got it out..and it doesn't hurt anymore. idk why im getting ingrown toe nails. i think its the shoes maybe..?

then, on sunday, we had to speak again. so i spoke on tithing. and i think it went good. and after we sat down, guess who came to church!? Charles Gilmor who was excommunicated and hes been less active for 20+ years! and we've been teaching him weekly for about 3 to 4 months! it made us so happy! our chins dropped to our feet when we saw him walk in. and i hope and pray that he continues to come to church! and become a member again. so im sure you all prayed for him. so thank you! he needs it! so keep it up! and then during the 3rd hour he got up in front of everyone and basically just...asked for forgiveness...or more of he just stood up and bore his testimony and said that we are all sinners and none of us are perfect. it was awesome to see that, and to see the change come into his life. and see light in his eyes..so that was the high light of the week!
well thanks for all you do! and all your prayers! i have really grown to love these people. im still trying to learn how to love the ones telling me to eat poop...but still i love them! and this week is transfer week. i don't think i'll get transferred cuz training is like a 12 week program. but we'll see. i would love to stay here tho with elder leutze. the work here is awesome! and i love our companionship. i love this gospel. i know that this gospel is the true source of happiness! so i hope all of you are reading the book of mormon and daily...and once you are done...start again!
i love you all and i miss you! have a great week!
Love, Elder Nelson
