Kamusta kamo!?
so this week was a really great week, and when i look back i remember how much opposition i had and felt. but i hardly remember them becuase it was a really great week! so let me tell you about my opposition! haha so mom, remember how i asked you what it means when your lymph nodes are swollen? well mine were really swollen and they hurt too! so sister andaya made me go to the hospital with her. so come to find out, i have tonsilitis...well, i did. ( i feel fine now, and i think its gone) but the doctor just subscribed me some medicine, and i also got one kilo of free rice! so that was awesome! but anyway, after going to the hospital, we had to get a ride back to alang alang. so we got on a bus, and thats when i started feeling  SO sick!! i had a really high fever and this was happening while a typhoon was coming, so it was windy and rainy(i guess the typhoon never came...it was a level 2 which is pretty big) but on the bus i got really sick. i had a high fever, a big headache, and i was cold!! which made no sense to me. cold?? in the philippines?? it was probably 85 degrees or 80. and i was cold! i had the chills. i was shivering. so i was really sick! haha idk how i was cold but i just was. so we taught one lesson, and then went home. i took some medicine, and my fever was 103..idk if thats bad or not. so i went straight to bed. the next day was ok, i was just really sore. every bone in my body was sore. but i kept going. but even tho i didn't feel that great, we went to go teach our new investigator, and by then i felt fine. and this was when the joy was much greater than the pain. ha
so we taught him thursday...i think?? and his name is kevin. and he is 16. and he wanted to know more about the church so we taught him lesson one. and i just love this lesson, because if you teach it right, and with the spirit, it just clicks for the investigator and everything just makes sense!! its such an awesome feeling. like for example. at the end, i taught about how Christ set the example by being baptized, and i asked "inspired question" about baptism, and asked him if its important to be baptised. and he gave such a good answer..he said something like so you can enter into the kingdom of god, and he understood that he needed to be baptized WITH authority/Priesthood! so i extended the baptismal invitation to him and before i could even finish my sentence he was already saying yes. and it was awesome!! the spirit was so strong!! and he was so excited to be baptized. and so we said we'll have a baptism on nov. 5 for you and he said, "yes, if i really want to be baptized i'll wait" so it was just awesome! such a neat teaching experience! and i have had plenty of lessons like that. and i just love it when it just clicks for them and they know why its important to have priesthood authority, and living prophets and apostles..and they know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored! so that was awesome!

but...he didn't come to church dang it!!!!!! we are going to have to talk to him about that....he better have a good excuse!
but i just love it here!! we had another baptism this week for Brother Boneff. he is 18 and wants to serve a mission. he has changed his life so much to be baptized. and after he was brought out from the water, he just stood there and enjoyed the spirit and feelings that he had. it was a really spiritual experience. i talked to him after and asked what he felt. and he said that he cant explain it..and then he said"i have found the truth, i know this is the truth" then i talked to him about how he would feel when he helped others feel the same as he felt. so that was awesome! he'll be a great missionary. it'll be cool, he'll probably be on his mission before i return home!  and then yesterday, sunday, he and Randy were both confirmed. the work is moving forward here in AlangAlang. and we have 3 more baptism this saturday. and more scheduled!! so im excited! i really love it here! i am really enjoying the work here. and really glad that my trainer has taught me to work hard, all day. cuz sometimes i have to push our companionship so we dont waste time. which is good cuz it allows me to step up and to lead. but elder reyes is fun! he's awesome! we have a lot of fun. as far as my district, im probably the only one that is diligent with my personal study, waking up on time. its hard to get them to do those things. but im trying my best. as district leader, i talk to them and try to help them be obedient and i go on splits with them which is fun cuz i get to know them and their area.
but i love it here! and time is going so fast! its already half way thru the transfer!! but its been really spiritual this week and have received lots of blessings!! and as for my health...i feel fine now. i think my tonsilitis is gone, and my lymph nodes are back to normal. and i have lost one kilo!! haha i am 79 kilos now..its like 174 i think. so its not too bad, i've actually started to work out this week, and i've found that i have much better days when i work out. i have more energy. so i'll continue. well i gotta go. but please know that i miss you all, and love you all! i think of all of you. have a great day! and don't forget to read and pray.
i love you!
mahal, Elder Nelson!
